Medical-KIT

Following is list of item you should consider including in your medical kit.

Consult your pharmacist for brands available in your country.

 

  • Aspirin or paracetamol – for pain or fever 
  • Antihistamine- for allergies, hay fever 
  • Antiseptic for cuts and grazes. 
  • Antifungal cream or powder -  for fungal skin infections and thrush 
  • Bandages, Band-Aids (plasters) and other wound dressings. 
  • Cold and flu tablets, throat lozenges and nasal decongestant  
  • Calamine lotion, sting relief spray or aloevera – to ease irritation from sun burn insect bites or stings. 
  • Insect repellent, sunscreen, lip balm and eye drops 
  • Loperamide or diphenoxylate- blockers for diarrhea 
  • Multi vitamins -  consider including these if you’re traveling well off the beaten track 
  • Prochlorperazine or metaclopramide-  for nausea and vomiting 
  • Rehydration mixture – To prevent dehydration 
  • Scissors, tweezers and a thermometer -
  • (note that mercury thermometers are prohibited by airlines) 
  • water Purification tablets or iodine- Tetraglycine hydroperiodide

 

*If you are traveling with tour operator/travel agency, most of the medicine will provid by them in NEPAL.
